The Campaign for Whitworth: The Whitworth Serves Initiative
Whitworth Serves is an ambitious initiative to gather information from alumni, parents, students, faculty and staff who give their time in service of others. These hours of service may be reported throughout the duration of the campaign (from now until June 30, 2017), and may be fulfilled in a variety of ways, such as alumni volunteering for their alma mater as they serve on Whitworth Regional Chapter leadership teams or reunion committees; acknowledging work participants are already doing in their home communities, from providing meals to the underprivileged, assisting in a child’s classroom, or serving on the board of a local church or non-profit organization; or undertaking a new volunteer endeavor and/or joining fellow Whitworthians in their region during an annual national day of service.
Participants will track their hours of service each year (see links on the left of this page to log your hours). At the conclusion of the campaign, as we celebrate the total gifts raised and projects completed on campus, we will also celebrate the collective volunteer hours served, the total monetary value of that time, and the global impact of participants’ service.
By serving others together, we can live out Whitworth’s mission and create lasting change in our communities.
