“Receiving a scholarship means breaking boundaries. I am the first person in my family to go to college. I am a first-generation Presbyterian Christian and a first-generation American. My parents’ combined income is very low and there would be absolutely no way that I could attend Whitworth without grants and scholarships. All I care about is to continue my education at a wonderful institution such as Whitworth so I can help my community, my church, my family, my country, and my God that has brought me so far.

“Thank you for investing in me. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for supporting me.”
