Hands-on experience for a life-long career

Scholarship support is helping Annalisa Figueroa pursue a promising career in athletic training.

Annalisa Figueroa, ’16, an athletic-training major, is gaining hands-on practical experience through her clinical rotations in the Whitworth Athletic Training Room and in clinical rotations off campus. After earning her Whitworth degree she plans to earn a master’s in athletic training and work as a high-school math teacher and athletic trainer.

“I’m very grateful to receive a scholarship from Whitworth. It has helped lessen my financial burden and it is allowing me to study a field that I would love to work in for the rest of my life.”

Endowed scholarship opportunities through the Pines to Promise Project

The Pines to Promise Project supports establishing endowed scholarships – with Whitworth providing $1 million in matching funds – to help traditional undergraduate students complete their Whitworth degrees among the pines of the Spokane campus and graduate into fulfilling their promise in the world.

By funding a new endowed scholarship, you can help foster growth and transformation in the lives of students who, through Whitworth, become empowered to serve, lead and seek solutions for people and communities in need, and who, like Annalisa, are passionate about their calling. With a gift of $25,000, payable over five years, Whitworth will match your gift to endow a new scholarship, which may double the impact of your gift.
