Why I Serve
I love my home state of Alaska. It’s important to me to contribute my knowledge and expertise in a meaningful way. Health care is important, and I would like to leave a legacy of affordable care and access for my kids and future generations. I also serve to demonstrate God’s heart for the poor, hungry and homeless.
How I Serve
I served as a board member/commissioner for the Alaska Health Care Commission. The Commission serves as the state health planning and coordinating body, responsible for providing recommendations to the governor and the legislature on a comprehensive statewide health care policy and on strategies for improving the health of Alaskans.
For the Downtown Soup Kitchen, I prepared and served food (soup and sandwiches) to feed the poor and homeless.
