Whitworth Staff

Place of service: Camp Spalding, Newport, Wash.

Why I Serve

I first learned about Camp Spalding through our children’s participation as campers in junior high and high school.  Later, I learned about camp from Whitworth students who had attended as campers, served as staff and been mentored as young Christian leaders. Through our children, church and university communities, I am became increasingly excited about the ministry that Camp Spalding provides- meaningful Christian programming in an exceptional natural setting where, away from the daily routine, people of all ages may encounter Jesus Christ and experience greater spiritual depth and renewal.

How I Serve

Serving on the board of Camp Spalding allows me the opportunity to invest directly into the Camp’s vibrant ongoing ministry to campers and guests.  The board is dedicated to prayerful support of the camp leadership and resources including facilities and personnel.   I gladly help in stewarding Camp Spalding in order that campers and guests can continue to flourish there.   My hope is that my service on the board of Camp Spalding will strengthen and preserve the camp in order that many more individuals will know and grow in God’s love.
